Jays Minor League All Stars

by @ 5:08 pm. Filed under 2011 Blue Jays

In a very cool series, Minor League Baseball is breaking down each organizations minor league systems and picking the best player at each position.  The latest was the Blue Jays and recent pickup Kyle Drabek and catcher J.P. Arencibia were the top guys in they system.  Both of these guys are major league ready and could make a huge impact with the Blue Jays in 2011.  Chuck Huggins, the winner at left handed starter, is also going to be knocking on the door.

So there’s plenty of big league talent and then there’s guys like Sean Ochinko, who can hit but is a few years away. Chris Lubanski, while a little older, could also have been a dark horse but the Marlins scooped him up to a minor league deal.  Drabek, while I’ve heard now isn’t considered a front line starter, is still the gem and having him in the rotation finally should make people start to forget about Roy Halladay.
